Advancing organizations grounded in belonging

We are all worthy of belonging — and workplaces are far more capable of achieving their goals when people feel affirmed, connected, and poised to contribute.

Belonging meets a fundamental human need for connection that’s hardwired in our DNA. When activated, our brains release chemicals that enable us to learn, grow, and take risks.* Work cultures designed around belonging therefore see the benefits of dramatically increased job performance, retention, and staff engagement.** These are critical ingredients that support people to do their best work and thrive.

Miri listens deeply, observes behavior, and helps illuminate the path forward so that leaders create organizations where people want to show up and make an impact. These are places where people belong.

Work With Miri

  • Miri partners with individuals to navigate their toughest leadership challenges. Clients strengthen self awareness, increase their perspective taking and become more effective in their roles- all key components to feeling more connected to the workplace and ensuring others feel more connected to them.

  • Miri supports organizations to make shifts in strategic direction and human behavior so that they become sharper at what they do as well as how they work together to do it. She begins by conducting a listening tour to understand core dynamics. Through individual and team coaching, she supports leaders to strengthen awareness of themselves and each other in order to develop new ways of collaborating. She builds on this experience to help leaders create and implement plans for lasting change.

  • Miri facilitates trainings that support participants to become more resonant managers, emotionally intelligent leaders, and influential strategists. Workshops are customized to meet the needs of emerging leaders through executives.

  • Miri relates authentically, listens deeply, and thinks strategically to create transformative gatherings that have lasting impact. She designs and facilitates team retreats, single gatherings, and cohort experiences.

  • As an educator at her core, Miri loves designing meaningful and relevant learning experiences for adults. Miri takes on a few projects a year.

Miri has spent more than 20 years helping individuals, teams, and organizations flourish. Her longest standing job began in her teens and continues to this day when every summer, Miri returns to her childhood sleepaway camp, a community designed around intentional belonging. While adulthood, and the working world is far more complex than summer camp, Miri has carried this commitment to belonging throughout her career as a teacher, educational administrator, and nonprofit executive.

  • Miri most recently led School Leader Lab, a nonprofit that supports school administrators through cohort-based programming and individual coaching. Prior to this role, Miri served as a Regional Superintendent at one of the largest and highest performing charter school districts in the country, where she led and oversaw several mission-critical initiatives to improve organizational culture – including redesigning the annual New Teacher Training and implementing a social emotional learning program across 35 schools.
